  • Date changed: 2 years ago
Solution # 00007607

Scope: PST Enterprise, v3.2 or later

Answer:

It is possible to customize the PST Enterprise SelfService website using the web.config file as follows:

1.       On the PST Enterprise Server, browse to ‘SelfService’ subfolder in the installation directory (by default, C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\PSTEnterprise).

2.       Take a backup copy of the web.config (in case you wish to revert any changes).

3.       Open the web.config file in Notepad.

4.       To disable the Help dialog which is displayed as a pop-up by default, edit the value of ShowSelfServiceHelp to ‘False’ as per:
<setting name="ShowSelfServiceHelp" serializeAs="String">
<value>False</value>

5.        To customize the highlight colour and description text for the discovered PSTs:

1.       Remove the comments (<!--… -->) from the PST Enterprise Enhancements section so this appears as:
<add key="FoundAttachedBgColor" value="lightgreen"/>
<add key="AutoAssignedBgColor" value="Salmon" />
<add key="ManuallyAssignedBgColor" value="lightgreen" />
<add key="FoundAttachedText" value="This PST will be migrated by default"/>
<add key="AutoAssignedText" value="You need to select a policy for this PST" />
<add key="ManuallyAssignedText" value="This PST will be migrated by default" />
<add key="AdditionalColumnHeading" value="More info" />
<add key="DisplayColumns" value="Title,Path,Machine,Disk Size,Policy,More info" />

2.       To assign a highlight colour to PSTs which are found coupled to the user’s Outlook profile, change the value of FoundAttachedBgColor to the required HTML colour name e.g.
<add key="FoundAttachedBgColor" value="gold"/>

3.       To change the description text displayed for PSTs which are found coupled to the user’s Outlook profile, change the value of FoundAttachedBgText e.g.
<add key="FoundAttachedText" value="The contents of this PST will be automatically migrated to a folder named ‘My Archive’ in your mailbox."/>

4.       To assign a highlight colour to PSTs which have had the owner automatically determined and assigned, change the value of AutoAssignedBgColor to the required HTML colour name e.g.
<add key="AutoAssignedBgColor" value="green" />

5.       To change the description text displayed for PSTs which have had the owner automatically determined and assigned, change the value of AutoAssignedText e.g.
<add key="AutoAssignedText" value="You can choose to delete this PST by selecting the Delete policy, or migrate all the data to your mailbox by assigning the Migrate policy." />

6.       To assign a highlight colour to PSTs which have had the owner manually assigned by an administrator, change the value of ManuallyAssignedBgColor to the required HTML colour name e.g.
<add key="ManuallyAssignedBgColor" value="red" />

7.       To change the description text displayed for PSTs which have had the owner manually assigned by an administrator, change the value of ManuallyAssignedText e.g.
<add key="ManuallyAssignedText" value="Please choose and assign a suitable policy. If you do not assign a policy all data will be migrated by default in 2 weeks’ time." />

8.       To add or remove columns from the displayed columns, modify DisplayColumns to add/remove the appropriate column name e.g.
<add key="DisplayColumns" value="Title,Path,Machine,Policy,More info" />

9.       To add additional columns to the display, modify AdditionalColumnHeading with the column name as it appears on the administration website e.g.
<add key="AdditionalColumnHeading" value="Data Size” />

6.       Once you have finished your customizations, save the file.

7.       The next time you load the SelfService website, the changes will be visible. No restart of the web services is necessary.
