If the predefined application database used by the Policies does not include an application that you want to use in your application rules, you can create your own custom application. For a working SecureEdge SD-WAN environment, your setup needs to know what applications are in use. Custom applications can be defined as a number of applications where the policy applies. Custom applications are designed to meet your specific needs, requirements, and preferences. Note that custom application definitions take precedence over predefined applications.
Two types of custom applications are supported:
- Custom Network Applications
- Custom Web Applications
