How to Activate the Edge Service and SecureEdge Access Using an Activation Key

You can activate the Edge Service and SecureEdge Access by using your Barracuda Cloud Control account. You must enter the product activation key received from Barracuda Customer Services after you purchase your product. Your product will be activated after authenticating your account and accepting the EULA.

Step 1. Place Your Purchase Order

You can place your order either on our website or through Salesforce (SFDC). After your order is placed with Barracuda Networks, you will receive an email from Barracuda Customer Services.

Step 2. Customer Receives an Email with Product Activation Key

  1. You will receive an email with a product activation key. In the product key section, click Activate.
  2. To complete the activation process, you will be redirected to the Barracuda Cloud Control (BCC) login page. Log in with your BCC credentials. For more information, see How to Create a Barracuda Cloud Control account for Barracuda SecureEdge. 

    Note that you must enter the same BCC account that the purchase order is placed for.


  3. The Activate your Barracuda Product(s) page open. From the drop-down menu, select the country you are activating your product in, and click Continue.
  4. The Software License Agreement page opens. Review the software license agreement and select the I accept the terms of the Barracuda software license agreement box. (You must scroll down the entire document before you can agree to the license agreement.) Then, click Continue.
  5. The Preview Activation window opens. On the Preview Activation page, verify that your Barracuda product purchase subscriptions you are about to activate and your account information are correct. Click Activate.
  6. The Product Activation window opens. On the Product Activation page, wait while your product is being activated. Your status will change to a green checkmark as soon as your activation is successful.
  7. Click Continue to Products.

Your product subscription is activated as soon as the activation procedure is complete. 

Alternatively, to initiate the activation process, you can access and enter the activation token for your products.

Step 3. Customer Receives an Email with Order Certificate

  1. After your product subscription is activated with Barracuda Networks, you will receive an email along with a purchase order certificate. 
  2. Verify your Certificate of Subscription and retain it for your records. For example, in this case, the subscription is for SecureEdge Access and Edge Service.

To view your subscription details in the SecureEdge Manager, proceed with Step 4.

Step 4. Verify Your Subscriptions in the SecureEdge Manager

  1. Go to and log in with your existing Barracuda Cloud Control account.

  2. In the bottom left of the window, click the Profile icon.
  3. The Profile menu opens. Click Subscriptions.
  4. The Subscription page opens. You can see the subscription(s) for your products. For example, in this case, Edge Service and SecureEdge Access. To get more detailed information on your products, click Edit columns.

  5. The Edit Visible Columns page opens. Select the field names you wish to display the columns for.

  6. Click Save.
