How do I fix issues with the date and time on my Barracuda Web Application Firewall?

Scope:

Barracuda Web Application Firewalls, all firmware versions.


Answer:
Check the time zone setting from the BASIC > Administration page of the web interface to ensure the local time zone is set correctly. The current local time on the Barracuda Web Application Firewall is automatically updated via NTP (Network Time Protocol). NTP requires port 123 on your firewall be open for outbound UDP traffic.

 

Note: The Barracuda Web Application Firewall automatically reboots when the time zone is changed.
