Why could a Barracuda Spam Firewall show up as infected on the Barracuda Web Filter?

Solution #00000643

Scope:
All Barracuda Web Filters being used with a Barracuda Spam Firewall.

Answer:
If a Barracuda Spam Firewall shows up as infected on the Barracuda Web Filter, the Barracuda Spam Firewall could have processed some intent domains that tripped the Web Filter's defenses. To check against our intent database, the Barracuda Spam Firewall must access spam and spyware domain names from the body of incoming mail to Barracuda support servers.

Either move your Barracuda Spam Firewall to the DMZ or exempt its IP (as a client/server exemption) so the Web Filter will not interfere with its mail processing.
