How can I block sites with an extra '.' at the end of the domain in the URL using my Barracuda Web Filter?

Scope:
All Barracuda Web Filters.

Answer:
If you wish to specifically blacklist domains with a dot at the end of their URLs, go to the Block/Accept > URL Patterns page and enter the domain's extension as Blocked Regular Expressions (Blacklist) with a [.] on either side, as shown in these examples:

[.]com[.]
[.]net[.]
[.]org[.]

These will block all domains ending in .com., .net., and .edu..
