Why am I not receiving my reports via email from my Barracuda Web Security Gateway?

This solution applies to all Barracuda Web Security Gateways.



There are two common reasons why the emailed reports may not be reaching you.

  1. Unable to find appropriate MX record for destination email address due to a failed DNS lookup
  2. Your firewall could be blocking connectivity to mail server(s).

Ensure that your firewall is allowing port 25 SMTP traffic from the Web Security Gateway to the desired mail server and that the Web Security Gateway can find the MX record.
