Barracuda Yosemite Server Backup

Why do I see the error 3125 "Unable to find the requested Content Indexing Database" in my Yosemite Server Backup job log?

  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: one year ago

Solution #00004356

Scope:
Yosemite Server Backup 8.7.01 and newer

Answer:
Error 3125 "Unable to find the requested Content Indexing Database" is reporting that Yosemite Server Backup found a reference to a Content Indexing Database that is supposed to exist but does not. When attempting to back up this database, it could not be found.

Yosemite Server Backup will check the registry for a list of Content Indexing Databases. The registry entry that is referenced is:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ContentIndex\Catalog

This is a Microsoft error and needs to be resolved outside of Yosemite Server Backup.
