How do I address a Windows error 2 in regards to a pre/post execution command in Yosemite Server Backup?

Solution #00005658

Scope:
This solution applies to Yosemite Server Backup, all versions.

Answer:

Getting an error 2 (File not found) while trying to run an execution command from the pre/post execution may be due to a rights issue.

Yosemite Server Backup by default runs its service using the System account and its rights of execution are limited to the System account. One method of addressing the issue is to allow the service to interact with the desktop.

To do this:
  1. Click Start > Run
  2. Run "services.msc"
  3. Right click the Yosemite Service and click Properties
  4. Click on the "Log On" tab
  5. Click the check box to "Allow Service to interact with Desktop"
  6. Press Okay
With this set, the System account will allow the Yosemite Service to interact with the desktop.

Additional Notes:
Another method of addressing the issue is to under the same "Log On" tab, change the account that the Yosemite Service uses to an account that has the rights to execute the command.
