Solution #00006423
Scope:
- Yosemite Server Backup
- HP ProLiant ML350e
Answer:
On this set of hardware, a custom controller driver is required for proper functionality. Yosemite is currently hard coded via an ini file to collect the "hpsa" driver. To change which driver Yosemite will collect and include in the DR image, a manual change of the ytlindrm.ini file is required.
The following must be done prior to the creation of the Disaster Recovery boot media. Changes must be made locally on the machine in question.
In the directory Yosemite is installed to, there is a config folder. Inside this folder, in the ytlindrm.ini file, change the "hpsa" value to "hpvsa," such as is indicated in the following section below:
[includeModules]
ata
scsi
fs
hid
ide
block
md
message
net
usb
updates
weak-updates
extra
misc
i2c
hpsa => Change this to hpvsa
mptbase
After making that change, you will need to restart the Yosemite service for it to take effect.
Important Note: Version updates for Yosemite will overwrite the ytlindrm.ini file. A reapplication of this change may be required after updating Yosemite.
