Attention

Starting May 1st, 2018, we will no longer offer the ArchiveOne family of products. This includes all editions of ArchiveOne, ArchiveOne for Files, Max Compression, and Access Security Manager. If you currently hold a maintenance and support contract, you will continue to receive our award-winning support until your contract expires, or until May 1st, 2019, whichever occurs first. The license for ArchiveOne is perpetual; therefore the software may continue to be used independently without any updates or support indefinitely.

How to Rebuild an Offline Archive

  • Last updated on

This article refers to the Barracuda ArchiveOne versions 6.2 and higher and Laptop Client users.

Use the following steps to rebuild an offline archive, for example, if you move the offline repository base directory because you have migrated ArchiveOne to a new server.

  1. On the Archive server, open the ArchiveOne Admin console.

  2. Click the Mailbox Manager Node, and right-click the mailbox you want to rebuild, or press Shift-click or Ctrl-click to select multiple mailboxes, and then click Flush Offline Repository.

The files in the pseudo repository in the current offline location (on the server) are deleted, and the clients are prompted to flush their local cache the next time the Laptop Client synchronizes.

  3. Right-click the Status node, and click Configure.

  4. In the Status Properties dialog box, click the Offline Archive tab.

It is not possible to change the location of the AOnePol_Offline_Repositories share. The share is created automatically by the ArchiveOne Service in the Server Data Location which is defined in the System Configuration Wizard.

  5. Click Synchronize Now to immediately begin synchronization, otherwise synchronization occurs at the scheduled time. Click OK.
  6. Click the Mailbox Manager node, and select the mailboxes for which you want to update properties.
  7. Right-click the mailbox, and click Update Synchronization settings.
  8. Once the update is complete, the Offline Base Dir column value for the mailboxes reflects the new UNC path.

When a user next logs in to their laptop in online mode, the local cached offline archive is flushed and rebuilt.
