How to Change the Offline Archive Directory for Laptop Client Users

Use the steps in this article to change the directory where the pseudo-repositories are created for offline directories.

Before Getting Started

  1. In Notepad, open the file \\[configuration_server]\Add-ins\AOnePol\Repositories\[Pseudo_Directory_Name].c2c
    where [configuration_server] is the name of the server hosting the Add-ins shared folder and [Pseudo_Directory_Name] is the name of the offline archive you wish to change.
  2. Locate the line DirForTemp=
  3. Update the line to point to the new folder path: DirForTemp=[path]
    where [path] is the new folder path you want to use.
  4. Save and close the file.
  5. Type services.msc in the Start Search box, and press Enter.
  6. In the Services window, right-click Archive One Service, and click Restart.
  7. In the ArchiveOne admin console, right-click the Status Node, and click Configure.

  8. Click the Offline Archive tab, and click Synchronise now.

Change the Directory

  1. In Notepad, open the file \\[configuration_server]\Add-ins\AOnePol\AOneConfig.C2C
    where [configuration_server] is the name of the server hosting the Add-ins shared folder.
  2. Add the following new line to the file: PseudoTempPathOverride=[path]
    where [path] is the new folder path you want to use.
  3. Save and close the file.
  4. Type services.msc in the Start Search box, and press Enter.
  5. In the Services window, right-click Archive One Service, and click Restart.
  6. In the ArchiveOne admin console, right-click the Status node, and click Configure.

  7. Click the Offline Archive tab, and click Synchronise now to create the offline archives in the new location.
