Solution #00005605

Scope:
This solution applies to the Barracuda Email Security Service and Barracuda Cloud Protection Layer.

Answer:

Barracuda Email Security Service:
This setting can be set per domain. It can be set to be either on, which will spool email for the associated domain for 96 hours in event of problems with the destination server or off which will disable this functionality.

In the off state BESS will return an error to the sender server and will not try to resend the communication until the originating server attempts to resend.

This setting can be located here:
Domains > Domain Manager > View Domain Configuration Details (For desired domain; this icon looks like a cog)Options > Spooling.

Cloud Protection Layer:
This setting can be set per domain. It can be set to be either on, which will spool email for the associated domain for 96 hours in event of problems with the destination server or off which will disable this functionality.

In the off state the CPL will return an error to the sender server and will not try to resend the communication until the originating server attempts to resend.

This setting can be located here:
Barracuda Control Center > Spam Firewall > Cloud Protection Layer > Domains > Edit (For desired domain) > Email Spooling.
