This article refers to the Barracuda PST Enterprise version 3.1 or higher. Before configuring Barracuda PST Enterprise, complete Step 2 - Install Barracuda PST Enterprise.

Step 1. Launch PST Enterprise Administration Website
To launch the Barracuda PST Enterprise website, on the PST Enterprise server, go to Start > All Programs > PST Enterprise. You will need to login as a user who is a member of the PSTEnterpriseUsers group. By default, the installing user is a member of this group.

To view this page at a subsequent launch, click View Help at the top of any page in the web interface. This page explains how to deploy the PST Enterprise Client to machines you wish to scan and process PST files on. The PST Enterprise Client must be run in order for PST files to be processed (see Step 4. Global Configuration below). See How to Deploy the PST Enterprise Client for further information.Step 2. Licensing
PST Enterprise installs with an evaluation licence for 30 days for 5 mailboxes. If you have purchased PST Enterprise and have received your licence file, you can apply your full licence following the process on Licensing.
Step 3. Client Configuration
Before running the PST Enterprise Client to start discovering and processing PST files, review the Client Configuration as this dictates the behavior of the Client in particular where it searches for PST files.
Step 4. Global Configuration
Review the Global Configuration settings, in particular setting the desired Ownership determination and applying the receive connector permissions for the PST Enterprise service account so it can send the System Health report.
Step 5. PST Enterprise Client Deployment
The PST Enterprise Client must be run in order for PST files to be processed. Follow How to Deploy the PST Enterprise Client to start discovering PST files.
Step 6. Install Additional PST Enterprise Copy Agent Servers (Optional)
To install any additional Copy Agent servers for running copy or move PST policies, see How to Install Additional PST Enterprise Copy Agent Servers.
Step 7. Policy Definitions
Create suitable policies to assign to the PST files on the Policy Definitions.
Step 8. Review Discovered PST Files
Once the PST Enterprise Client is deployed, discovered PST files are reported in the Assigned PSTs and Unassigned PSTs tabs. You can then assign a policy to these PST files to process the data.
